Megan Cameron, M.A., IMFT-S

Megan Cameron, MA, IMFT-S is an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and parents through life’s hardships. Bringing over 15 years of systemic experience across clinical practice and educational systems, she helps clients navigate complex relationships, heal from within, and build lasting emotional resilience.

Originally from Montpelier, Vermont, Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Clarkson University. During her undergraduate studies, she met a professor who was the first Marriage and Family Therapist she had ever encountered. Inspired by this mentorship, Megan developed an immediate passion for systemic therapy—focusing on how individuals grow, adapt, and thrive within their family structures.

With this new lens, Megan went on to earn her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University New England. She began her clinical career serving families and couples at a community mental health agency in Vermont, where she also helped pilot school-based therapy programs.

After moving to Ohio, Megan expanded her work in educational settings as a school-based therapist and Wellness Coordinator within both the Mason and Lakota school districts. These roles deepened her understanding of the academic, social, and emotional dynamics that shape student development. Beyond the classroom, working within the schools opened her eyes to the broader network of community and state agencies surrounding families. Rather than viewing these systems in isolation, Megan recognized how seamlessly integrating clinical care with larger community resources creates a stronger, wrap-around support system for the entire family.

Today, Megan consults with schools on suicide prevention protocols, staff education on behavioral health, and restorative practices. As an IMFT Supervisor, she also provides dedicated clinical supervision for MFT trainees and pre-licensed clinicians, fostering a supportive, reflective space for professional growth and systemic mastery.

In her clinical practice, Megan walks alongside clients with empathy, collaboration, and non-judgmental validation. She frequently integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work to support clients navigating anxiety, depression, major life transitions, grief, and women's mental health issues.

Megan is licensed by the Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist (CSWMFT) Board of Ohio and is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). She also serves on the board for The AFFECT Project. Outside of her practice, Megan lives with her husband, their three children, a dog, and two cats. She enjoys crafting, walking, hiking, and trips to the beach.
